3-Fresh Ways to Wear Your Jewelry

Posted on

It's that time of year to step out of any ruts you may have when it comes to accessorizing that you may have fallen into. Don't find yourself always throwing on the same pair of jewelry every day. Have you forgotten to wear bracelets or necklaces? Is your jewelry lying around all over your bedroom? Let's start a new habit to change your  jewelry-wearing habits. I know buying new jewelry can be a daunting task when you never know how to pair it with your new outfits but here are some fresh jewelry-wearing ideas:

1) Layering Necklaces

We always layer our clothes especially when it's cold but now the fashion trend is to layer our jewelry too. Layering jewelry has always been a big trend back in the 60's but is now making a come back. There are many ways to layer accessories for example, pairing a pendant with a simple chain, wear different lengths of necklaces, or wearing different type of bracelets that stack together.

2) Statement Jewelry

This is a great go-to technique for looking put together while wearing a basic outfit. You can easily wear a pendant with a high necked sweater and tucking the chain around the back and letting it hang from the front with a classy and feminine bolo tie. Another example is to wear a statement necklace that matches the color of your blouse. My favorite trend is to wear an all black outfit and match it with my silver statement necklace. It turns my simple outfit into something very well put together and classy.

3)Mix Match Jewelry

Usually when you wear a certain outfit, you tend to reach for a pair of earrings or bracelet that came with it so all your jewelry match. But it's a lot more fun and eye-catching to wear things that aren't part of a set. For exmape, if you're wearing a necklace with blue stones in a flowery pattern, you could throw on a pair of simple chandelier earrings. You could also combine a chain necklace with a geometric bracelet with different colors. This technique also works with clothes, by mixing up the patterns and colors in unique ways like color blocking.
